Fall wreaths: pumpkin-on-a-stick edition! 🎃 Really quite fond of gathering There’s no better time to live in Wisconsin 🧡 come visit us @monroestreetfarmersmarket from 9 am - 1 pm today. We’d love to see you! Once a year our favorite freaky friend rears its head and blushes orange — PUMPKIN-ON-A-STICK! 🎃 We’re bringing some really lovely, sweet-smelling wreaths to the @monroestreetfarmersmarket this week. Reasons these wreaths are cool: Farming is such a game of wins and losses, hopes and disappointments. Asters were a win for us this year. Both successions germinated really well, we transplanted large, healthy plugs and kept them covered until they set buds. Those in the field were shorter and sturdier than the GH, with less disease as well. Thankfully no aster yellow. We’ll do more next year 💕 Big ole dried harvests — we’re gearing up for October markets, where we’ll have fresh flowers, easy-to-dry bunches, wreaths and flower crowns @monroestreetfarmersmarket 🍉 and it’s always FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸 Why is it so hard to remember to take photos? Let there be wreaths! Alright alright alright Madison the time is now to swing on down to @monroestreetfarmersmarket and get yourself something cute 😘 we’ll be here 9 am - 1 pm Our friend Cathy came over and showed us how to braid onions a few weeks ago — the same winter storage technique her dad taught her Sicily. We’ll have some at the market tomorrow in red and yellow to cozy up your kitchen and add some Walla Walla sweetness to your fall dishes 🧅 We’re back @monroestreetfarmersmarket once more this month with hands full of fall, leaning into the changing light, setting seeds and flitting finches. Stop by and pick up a bouquet, some squash, a bundle of leeks, the penultimate tomatoes. Como un abrazo del sol 🌞 Strawberry fields & sunflower wind break 🍓🌻 Queenie lime orange live in a league of their own 💫 Boy oh boy do we have some goodness from you this morning 🤲🏽 straight from the Earth, dew still on the petals. Come say hey and let’s talk about how great September is. You know what it is…! We’ll be slinging COLOR tomorrow @monroestreetfarmersmarket from 9 am - 1 pm. Come thru for all your flower wants and your veggie needs 🧡 We want YOU to meet us @monroestreetfarmersmarket this Sunday 🖤 flowers are poppin veggies are droppin we can’t stop boppin Cabbage patch carthamus ☄️ Asters came and went in one big fluffy golden hour showing Amaranth is a sure sign of August This color makes me FEEL SOMETHING When walking the fields the flowers can feel far and few between — we are in between flushes and rich with verdant, vegetal green of fall crops. But when we take the time to gather and hold them close, their vibrancy overwhelms us. How cute is this guy 💛 when I was little I used to pick him roadside flowers and now he’s picking mine Thankful for the rain 🌧️ In the field with my buds and buzz August’s abundance is on full display @monroestreetfarmersmarket this morning 💗 come find us from 9 am - 1 pm for flowers and veg grown with love and care Hey hey Madison — we’ve been quiet on the flower front, but as always toiling behind the scenes. We’ll be at @monroestreetfarmersmarket tomorrow with these stunners and more to brighten your day. We hope to see you there 💛 A week later and still we are here, honoring Corey, taking care of each other and demanding change. This space is full of love, anger, grief and hope. Don’t read about it in the news — come out and stand in solidarity. Our community needs you. We demand justice for Corey Ruiz — a beloved father, brother, son, neighbor and friend. Each and every life is precious. No one deserves to die with that amount of violence. No one deserves to die over property. No one should have to watch public executions. No amount of flowers will heal this pain.
